Brisbane, AU – 02 December 2021 – Optical HDMI cables have long been a solution reserved for business, commercial and enterprise applications, leaving home users in the dark when it comes to extra-long HDMI cables.
Avencore’s Carbon Series range of Hybrid Fibre HDMI cables bucked the pricing trend, offering this cutting-edge technology at a price point sure to appeal to regular customers as well as businesses, education and health or defence industries.
Now, with an upgrade to 48Gbps bandwidth, the Carbon Series range offers true 8K@60Hz support (without DSC) in lengths up to 70 metres. This makes the cables HDMI 2.1 hardware compliant for high resolutions, high refresh rates and features such as High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC).
This in-place upgrade comes at no additional cost to consumers. We’re proud to hold the old price point for as long as possible to make AOC HDMI and DisplayPort attractive to everyone.
Stephen Holmes, Owner
Where other brands of Active Optical Cables (AOC) require additional power injection via USB, Avencore’s Carbon Series range requires no external power or special hardware. In most cases, they function identically to regular copper cables with plug-and-play functionality. This benefit allows them to meet a wider range of application requirements where other HDMI extending solutions can’t be accommodated.
8K HDMI AOC cables are now available in 10m, 20m, 30m, 50m, and 70m lengths. Each cable includes an installation guide and clearly marked plug ends to ensure easy first-time operation.
