Description
The Carbon Series 4K HDMI Extender Over CAT6 is a point-to-point, driver-free, plug-and-play solution aimed at 4K 120Hz applications such as gaming and live feeds where every frame matters. 32Gbps HDMI bandwidth provides ample headroom for high resolution, high frame rate content via visually lossless Display Stream Compression (DSC 1.2a). Also suitable for 12-bit colour at 60Hz for studio solutions where colour accuracy is more important than frame rate.
Power is required at both the transmitter and the receiver, via the included power supplies. Simply attach your own CAT6 cable up to 30 metres, plus 48Gbps HDMI cables up to 5 metres and the extender kit will do the rest. IR remote control repeating is also supported in either direction (one direction at a time). Designed for 4K content first and foremost, this extender is not compatible with other ‘gaming’ resolutions such as 1440p or ultra-wide modes.
This unit offers a built-in 4K120 EDID profile, as well as a pass-through option to expose your display EDID to the source. Pass-through allows your source to identify your display and leverage all compatible HDMI features directly. Shielded CAT6A may be required for signal integrity in high-interference environments.
